Teeling 12 Year Old Single Malt Single Cask #29588 Ximenez Spinola Cask
This whiskey is the forgotten exclusive release for the Celtic Whiskey Shop that was nearly lost!
Bottled in 2021 but only released in late 2023, it lay forgotten in the darkest depths of a warehouse before being rescued and released just in time for Christmas 2023.
This perfect example of a Sherry cask matured whiskey has been finished in a very special Pedro Ximenez cask sourced from Ximenez Spinola, one of the finest producers of PX Sherry. In fact they only grow and bottle the Pedro Ximenez grapes, making a variety of styles but most famously the traditional sweet and sticky variety. The Sherry cask has brought lots of richness and warmth to the whiskey with flavours of chocolate, dates, prunes and other raisined fruits.
Very limited in number and bottled at natural cask strength of 57.2%
