Primarily produced in a vineyard north of Saint Adelain called La Folie. Here the soil contains virtually no silex (flint) but has deep clay and plenty of chalky limestone. The wine is aged in large barrels, and also in some rather odd 'cigar' shaped barrels which were originally designed by Didier Dagueneau.
