Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Cerasuolo Vigne Nuove 2009Cerasuolo 2009 was rated by Italian critic Luca Maroni in his 2011 guide as the 3rd Best Rose in Italy! Made from 100% Montepulciano it is vivid pink in colour with a perfumed nose of cherries and violets. On the palate it is fresh with good acidity; racy, rich and broad. Immensely appealing.

'The 2009 Cerasuolo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo flows from the glass with a ripe, round core of fruit that caresses the palate with notable length and beauty. Stylistically, the Vigne Nuove is more about ripe generous fruit than aromatics. Clean mineral notes frame the elegant, refined finish. More importantly, though, this is a fabulous wine for the money.' The Wine Advocate 89 Points
