La Chapelle de Bebian Rouge 2007A very successful blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Cinsault. Grapes are hand selected on the sorting table, destemmed, the Syrah and Cinsault then crushed whilst allowing the whole berries of the grenache to remain intact to encourage fruitiness and to bring complexity to the blend. Fermentation in cement tanks for 3 to 4 weeks with gentle cap management.
The Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2011 by Bettanne & Desseauve gives it 16/20 and 'The aromas have taken over and the nose is an outstanding one of floral essences and ripe raspberry which point to Burgundy origins. A hint of sweetness stamps this vintage with unbelievable charm.'
