Cantina Tramin is one of the top producers of white wines in Italy. Founded in 1898, this highly successful cooperative has 280 member winegrowers who follow its strict directives on the cultivation of the vines. It covers 230 hectares of vineyards sited on sun-bathed slopes at an altitude of between 250-700M above sea level. The release of the Gambero Rosso 2011 marked another milestone for the winery as it has now been awarded over 20 Tre Bicchieri which is testament to the skill of winemaker Willi Sturz. In 2004. the Gambero Rosso voted Willi as the Italian Winemaker of the Year.
