A young winery that has quickly made the headlines and is already rated as one of the top 3 producers in the region!

The estate is situated in the Canestro Valley close to the Majella National Park, an area of outstanding beauty. This is a wild paradise, with deep gorges carved by glaciers, crystal pure springs and diverse wildlife. It's so remote it wouldn't be uncommon to spot bears or wolves in and around the vineyards!

The proximity to the Gran Sasso mountain range, coupled with the altitude of the estate itself, creates wide fluctuations in temperature between day and night. The hot summer days and cool summer nights often results in temperature drops of 15°C in just a few hours which allow the grapes to mature slowly and gracefully. Cool winds ensures good ventilation, ideal for the development of fine aromas. Perfect time for harvesting is in late Autumn when the first snows whiten Mount Morrone. Combined with this very important microclimate, the special soil types contribute to the refinement and exotic aromatics of the wines produced here. At Valle Reale, the soils are rocky and light, rich in limestone and chalk. This allows deep penetration of the roots which gives mineral and earth characters to the wines. 

The geographic and climatic peculiarities of this area are reflected in the wines, which are characterized by the trademarks of fully mature fruit: fresh elegant perfume and aromatic complexity. Here owner Leonardo Pizzolo, in close consultation with Professor Leonardo Valenti are working to create wines that highlight the grape's (Montepucliano and Trebbiano) intrinsic qualities: strength, exuberance, vitality, colour, elegance, balance and depth. Their success is evident across their range with top accolades and reviews from both national and international press.
