Bebian's fame began in the 1970s and it is now one of the oldest estates in the Languedoc. The terroir of Prieure Saint de Bebian is classified as 'grand cru'.

The varieties grown are Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Roussanne, Marsanne... The Grenache is planted on a bed of clay and limestone boulders over sandy clay. The Syrah basks in the sun sitting on seams of basalt running throught the limestone rock. There are also some old vines, over eighty years of age.

One of the best domaines in the Languedoc, 'it's the vineyard of tomorrow'.
