This very old solera Amontillado is an absolute treat. Rich, packed full of hazelnuts, dried fruits with perfect balance and a very long finish. This is as good as Amontillado sherry gets!

Amontillado is a variety of sherry that is first aged under flor but which is then exposed to oxygen producing a sherry that is darker than a fino but lighter than an oloroso. Naturally dry as in this case but most amontillados sold are sweetened versions.
